The Queen of Classics also known as the Paris Roubaix, is one of the oldest professional cycling races in the history of the sport. It is also one of the most difficult terrains to cross. 2021 marked the 118th edition of the Paris Roubaix. To this date zero women have raced the Queen of Classics. This year changes that. With the first women’s Paris Roubaix, we celebrate women’s fight to be seen in professional cycling and begin to crack foundation of a culture that did not include cyclists of all genders. With Grit and Grace, we break the ceilings that hold us back. As creative director on this project this was not going to be just a bold graphic design or color execution, but it needed to be equally fierce in it’s messaging.
